FAQs

Common questions about IB support

Which parts of the IB continuum does LifeHack support?
We support learners across the full continuum: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), and the Diploma Programme (DP). Support ranges from weekly subject tutoring to full academic mentorship alongside a student's current IB school.
Do you help with the Extended Essay, TOK and CAS?
Yes. Our IB specialists guide students through research question design, structuring the Extended Essay, referencing, and reflection sessions. We also coach TOK essay and exhibition work, and help students plan and document CAS experiences.
Can my child study Higher Level and Standard Level subjects with you?
Both. We offer HL and SL support in Mathematics, Sciences, Languages, Individuals and Societies, and the Arts. Sessions follow the current IB subject guides and assessment criteria, with feedback based on official rubrics.
How is IB support different from IGCSE or A Level teaching?
IB is inquiry-led and interdisciplinary, so we focus heavily on criterion-based assessment, internal assessments, academic writing, and reflection rather than pure past-paper drilling. Students still get timed practice, but the emphasis is on conceptual understanding.
Is IB support available for students enrolled at another school?
Yes. Many of our IB learners attend a physical IB World School and use LifeHack for supplementary tutoring, assignment support, and exam preparation. We coordinate around their existing timetable and deadlines.
